The Menomonie Homebrewers’ Club was founded by a core of passionate beer lovers. Members vary from avid, frequent brewers to those who simply enjoy drinking and learning about good beer. Some of our members have made the jump from homebrewing to working at a commercial brewery.
In addition to enjoying the fine beer at the Stout Ale House, our monthly club meetings are an opportunity to discuss a particular topic related to brewing. Most meetings wrap up with discussion and sampling of a particular beer style, both commercial and homebrewed examples.
The club has started holding club-only brewing competitions based on a theme, recipe, or style throughout the year. Each spring the club participates in “The Big Brew”, a nation-wide brewing day associated with the American Homebrewers’ Association where several members get together to spend a day brewing together and enjoying a variety of beers.
Members regularly open their homes to fellow brewers for a chance to get together and share a variety of homebrew, good food and beer discussion. Whether an evening event or a full brew-day, we enjoy the opportunity to learn from each other, improve our understanding of beer, and enjoy good beer.
Come check out our meetings the first Monday of each month at the Stout Ale House. We love meeting fellow beer enthusiasts. Whether you are just thinking about getting into the obsession, have been brewing for years or just want to improve your understanding of beer you will be welcome. If nothing else, come and join us for a few beers.
We’ll see you the first Monday next month at 6 PM.
